Hussain Sagar Lake, Hyderabad.

Hi there everybody,

Today I would like to share with you all about the Hussain Sagar lake which is in the heart of the Hyderabad city. It is about 6 kms is built on a tributary of the river Musi.

There is a large monolithic statue of the Gautam Buddha in the middle of the lake which is one of the major attraction for the tourists apart from the beautiful view of the lake. It was an mesmarising experience. You can just gaze the big buildings across the lake with the beautiful lights lit up.

There is a hangout known as Eat Street which is setup besides the lake from where you can eat, talk and watch the lake. A ferry service is organisex by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism from the Mainland to the Buddha Statue. The ride is absolutely amazing. Nearby area there is a Birla Mandir temple which is also one of the major tourist place. The temple is located on a hill rock. Like all Birla Mandir's this mandir is also built in white marble. The deity which resides here is Lord Venkateshwara of the Tirupathi fame.

The view of the lake from the hill rock is breathtaking. One would wish to just stare at the waters the whole day without worrying for any other thing. This place makes you relax your mind from the day to day activities.
